Supporting youth in perpetuity
In 2018, the Morning Rotary Club of Corvallis announced that, unfortunately, it would be holding its final meeting. For more than thirty years, the club has supported community efforts across Benton County, and have recently made their contributions using a Donor Advised Fund at BCF. As the club made plans to dissolve, they decided to convert their Donor Advised Fund into a Designated Fund — an endowment that will support Jackson Street Youth Services. This way, the club’s generous spirit will be preserved, and their hard work will continue to benefit local youth, year after year.
Endowed funds for JSYS
Designated Funds are endowed to support one or more local charitable organizations. Each year, BCF takes a portion of the fund’s income and grants it to the recipient(s).
The Morning Rotary Club’s new endowment is the third Designated Fund at BCF endowed to support Jackson Street. The Cliff Heselton Fund, established in 2007, and the Gertrude Lunde Cropsey Memorial Fund, established in 2000, also contribute part or all of their annual spendable amounts to Jackson Street Youth Services.
This combined effort means that BCF’s funding of JSYS can go farther and make a bigger impact each year.
