On November 9th, hundreds of community members gathered at CH2M Hill Alumni Center as the Benton Community Foundation announced the recipients of its 4th Annual Philanthropic Achievement Awards, which recognizes volunteers, fundraisers, donors, businesses, and community groups for their charitable efforts in Benton County.
The 2022 recipients are:
– Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser: Sara Ingle of Stone Soup Corvallis, Inc.
– Outstanding Emerging Philanthropist: Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity
– Outstanding Fundraising Professional: Andrea Myhre, Executive Director of Corvallis Housing First
– Outstanding Innovative Project or Program: OSU Pre-Dental Club
– Outstanding Volunteer Group: Corvallis Daytime Drop-In Center
– Outstanding Philanthropic Business: Gerding Builders
– Board of Directors’ Award for Outstanding Philanthropic Achievement: Dr. Ed Ray
“Local philanthropy takes many forms, as these award winners demonstrate,” said Chris Quaka, Benton Community Foundation President & CEO. “With these annual awards, the Benton Community Foundation aims to recognize all our community’s outstanding philanthropists and volunteers, both to highlight their efforts and to inspire others to give their time and energy to the local causes they care about.
