About the fund
Pete served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Benton Community Foundation from June 2007 through December 2011. During his tenure, Pete recognized that BCF needed a permanent facility from which to serve the community. Pete and Linda established the Peter & Linda Sekermestrovich Family Fund in 2007 to assist BCF in securing and maintaining a permanent facility.
Background
Pete and Linda Sekermestrovich are lifelong residents of Corvallis. They both attended Corvallis High School, Linn-Benton Community College, and Oregon State University. They met at LBCC, where Pete was in track and Linda participated in gymnastics. They married in June 1979. The couple have two children: son Nolan, born in 1993; and, daughter Megan, born in 1991.
In 1999, Pete & Linda purchased Town & Country Realty, where Pete’s in-depth knowledge of the community and the real estate market helped the company to become a leader among Realtors® in the Mid-Willamette Valley, and to provide their customers the highest level of professional real estate services.
Pete and Linda recognize that the economic health of our community is based on its diversity, rich cultural activities, quality education, and sound business and industry. For this reason, they share a strong commitment to our community. Pete has served in leadership roles with Benton Community Foundation and the Corvallis-OSU Music Association. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Corvallis since 1991, and both he and Linda are Paul Harris Fellows. In addition to teaching in the Corvallis School District for thirty years, Linda volunteered for the TOUCH Project to raise funds for children who are orphaned, disabled, or neglected in Uzgorod, Ukraine—the “Sister City” for Corvallis.
